Wednesday Club


Hanwell Methodist Church's Wednesday Club meets about every two weeks on a Wednesday evening at 8:00pm. The group have a varied programme each year which consists of musical evenings, entertainment, social gatherings, demonstrations, talks and similar activities. Printed programmes are usually available at the back of the Church in the display stands.

All are welcome to attend any of the meetings. If you require further information then please contact one of our stewards.

Programme 2007/2008


The current year's programme of activities for 2007/2008 is published below. Hard copy booklets of the activities are also available at the back of the Church. Most meetings start at 8:00pm and tea and coffee are served.

 

2007
17th October
8:00pm		 A social chit chat evening with tea and coffee to get the new season started. To be held in the Middle Hall.

31st October
8:00pm

Trick or Treat? - a Magical Evening in the Centenary Room with Ray Garnett who should entertain you with some magical moments and a talk about how he became a magician.

This is a fundraising evening with donations going towards the Church's Boiler Fund.

14th November
8:00pm		 Another social chit chat evening this time in the Centenary Room with tea and coffeee provided.
28th November
8:00pm		 Making a Christmas Centre Piece. A talk and demonstration about flower arranging from one of our Church stewards.

12th December
8:00pm		 The Wednesday Club's annual Christmas Punch Party to be held in the Church's Middle Hall.

2008
9th January
8:00pm
A talk given by one of our Church members about Darfur. To be held in the Centenary Room.

23th January
8:00pm		 A social chit chat evening in the Centenary Room with tea and coffee provided. Perhaps you could bring a cake.
6th February
8:00pm		 A Games Evening with Supper to be held at one of our Church member's house. Please refer to the printed programmes available for further details.

20th February
8:00pm		 Another social chit chat evening with tea and coffee to be held in the Centenary Room.
5th March
8:00pm		 A Men versus Women Quiz evening hosted by one of the Wednesday Club members. To be held in the Centenary Room.

2nd April
8:00pm		 An Evening of Irish Dancing in the Middle Hall demonstrated and led by the O'Sullivan School of Dancing.

16th April
8:00pm		 A social chit chat evening with tea and coffee to be held in the Centenary Room. Why not bring another cake! All welcome.

30th April
(Check the start time) 		A Trip to the Theatre. Please check the start time and venue nearer the date as it may vary from the normal 8:00pm start.

14th May
8:00pm		 A social chit chat evening with tea and coffee to be held in the Centenary Room.
28th May
8:00pm		 An evening in the Centenary Room with a speaker who will be talking about First Aid Awareness.
11th June
8:00pm		 A social chit chat evening with tea and coffee to be held in the Centenary Room.
25th June
8:00pm		 Planning meeting for the 2008/2009 Wednesday Club events calendar. This will be held in the Centenary Room. Bring your ideas and suggestions along.

9th July
8:00pm		 A social evening, possibly at a member's house. Please check for details nearer the time.
